KNOWLEDGE

EHA

In 2023, we supported the hematology community on three levels in terms of knowledge: creating knowledge, sharing it, and through education.

We created knowledge by supporting excellence in research in basic, translational, and clinical hematology. We provided research grants and specialized training programs for early career researchers.

We shared knowledge by publishing information in EHA’s journal HemaSphere and by harmonizing clinical practice guidelines for use at the national level.

We provided education through EHA’s online Campus platform and via many face-to-face and social media-driven courses. EHA is a strong partner in harmonizing the curriculum and examination of hematologists in Europe and beyond.

Building bridges and creating
a matrix organization

In 2023, we installed the Knowledge Unit. We now have excellent people in our own matrix structure, which allows us to:

1

… complement one another in research, education, and publications,

2

…. share knowledge and develop synergy in joint activities for the benefit of our members and ultimately for hematology patients,

3

… bring our education, research, and publications expertise to all discussions and transversal projects throughout the EHA organization.
